ISO 10303-221:2007 specifies an application protocol (AP) for the exchange of functional data and their schematic representation for process plants. Functional data includes the functional design of systems and the engineering specifications of system components to be used for subsequent procurement or component design.
IEC 62424:2016 specifies how process control engineering requests are represented in a P&ID for automatic transferring data between P&ID and PCE tool and to avoid misinterpretation of graphical P&ID symbols for PCE. It also defines the exchange of process control engineering request relevant data between a process control engineering tool and a P&ID tool by means of a data transfer language (called CAEX). These provisions apply to the export/import applications of such tools.
IEC 62832-1:2016(E) which is a Technical Specification, defines the general principles of the Digital Factory framework (DF framework), which is a set of model elements (DF reference model) and rules for modelling production systems.
ISO 16355-1:2015 describes the quality function deployment (QFD) process, its purpose, users, and tools. It is not a management system standard. It does not provide requirements or guidelines for organizations to develop and systematically manage their policies, processes, and procedures in order to achieve specific objectives.

Since organizations can address their new product development process by a customer-driven or a technology-driven set of solutions, this document explains both alternatives. It provides recommendations on the use of the applicable tools and methods, offering guidance on translating the voice of the customer (VOC) and voice of the stakeholder (VOS) into product, service, information, and process attributes, transferring the priorities of the customer and stakeholder needs into priorities for these attributes, and then developing technology, cost, and reliability plans for attributes.
ISO/TR 16355-8:2017 describes after optimization of product design to address non-functional requirements, for example, test, produce, commercialize, deliver, support, and eventually retire a product from the market and provides guidance on the use of the applicable tools and methods.
